PlantSwap 14 – First Sheffield Plant Swap of the Year

plant swapper with plant

19 January at Hagglers Corner, Sheffield

Welcome back folks and happy new year! Thank you to the 150 lovely people who came to our first plant swap of 2020. And a huge thank you to the wonderful Hagglers Corner for hosting us, putting up tables and serving copious quantities of tea and cake.

It was a pleasure to see so many familiar faces to as well as meeting many new plant friends too. Impressively the quantity and variety of plants was as strong and varied as ever. I brought 60 baby jade plants which I was pleased to see got snapped up! They are only small for now but they are incredibly easy to care for and will keep on going for decades.

We were also lucky to have two journalists and a blogger joining us so thanks to everyone who chatted to them and agreed to have their pictures taken. Watch out for more pictures and stories from them!

One question that journalists ask that I’d love your help is what are the most popular plants and what plants would you recommend for a complete plant newbie? There are so many variables I’m never quite sure what to answer so would love to hear what you would suggest!
